Hello and welcome to my website !

It all began in the rebellious stage of my youth. I vividly remember the day the seeds of a future cattery were sown!

Jan R DeRegtMom and I were embroiled in one of our many differences of opinion regarding my habit of dragging home orphaned cats. Justifiably, Mom was objecting to yet another mouth to feed. In my frustration, I remember promising her that "when I leave home, I will choose a husband who likes cats and we will have as many cats as we want!" Of course, husband led to family and it wasn’t until in the throes of "the empty nest syndrome" that I took my first tentative steps into the Cat Fancy. In 1986, I adopted a tiny Lynx Point Siamese kitten from Jim Webster of Calgary, Alberta.

"Bianca" was as feisty as she was beautiful.
I took her home to Edmonton and sought out a local CCA club. My first attended meeting planted another seed in the realization of my lifelong dream. I immediately recognized a face from my youth...Mary Ward, Junior High Teacher from my home town of Sangudo!!

Jan's special grands Nolan & Cassidy!

My fate was sealed. With Mary’s help, and the use of her stud males, Typha Barbary and Printer's Blue Gremlin, I began the journey which would span over many years. Other breeders became friends and a hobby yielded a lifetime dream come true..."as many cats as I wanted !!"

Direct contributions to my Siamese pedigrees, in addition to Jim Webster (Wes-Ko) and Mary Ward (Summit Mews), came from Irma Castle (Samow), Jayne Strunin (Bayard), Marlene Sheculski (Mareva), and Eileen Reid (Abstract). My first Supreme "Catkins LaiSee" , Canada’s Best Siamese for 1994/95, was a very exciting achievement in the show ring and a testament to those breeders contributions to the cat fancy.

I have more recently begun supplementing my Siamese and Oriental Shorthair lines with the addition of top European genetics and the beautiful cinnamon varieties being produced are breathtaking.

I hope you will take some time to wander about my website and perhaps drop me a line. My e-mail link is at the top of this page. Thanks for stopping by!
